George Western Foods

Georgen Western Foods may not be a name that is familiar to you but their brand names will be. Tip Top Breads, Ploughmans Bakery, Burgen Breads, Golden Bakery, Big Ben Pies and Dads Pies. The demand for gluten free products is growing exponentially and the current space for this production line at their Wiri facility was just too small. Expansion was required and a space was made available at the Otahuhu facility to fit out a brand new purpose built gluten free line.

GWF partnered with Flightform to build this facility and ICR Studio were brought in to facilitate the design, documentation and consenting approvals. All new production equipment and product conveyor systems were designed and purchased for the gluten free line and we all had to work collaboratively to ensure everything would connect and work together effortlessly.  The finish achieved has been to a high level due to food safety standards requirements encompassing ventilation systems, surface linings, material selection and personnel processes.
