George Clarke's "Homes in the Wild"

ICR was thrilled to have been chosen by George Clarke to be part of his new series "Homes in the Wild"

In February George visited one of our projects, a holiday home located on Kawau Island in the Hauraki Gulf. His interest in our work stemmed from a desire to explore the design, and to learn more about the challenges faced during the build, which took place in 2017. Phil showed George around the property, explaining the reasoning behind the design, the architectural choices made and construction techniques used in this unique setting.

This series explores life on an island and the logistics of building in remote locations. It consists of six episodes, each focusing on a different island. The line-up includes Great Barrier Island, Rakino, Lord Howe (Australia), Kawau, Marlborough Sounds, and finally Bruny (Australia). The ICR Studio project is featured in episode four, scheduled to air on September 4th on free to air channel Sky Open, the full series is available now on Sky. Currently, the series is also being broadcast in the UK on Channel 4.

ICR was thrilled to have been chosen by George to be part of his new series and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
