Steven Chen

Architecture has always excited Steven. As he has been working in this field of almost 10 years. He graduated from the Victoria University of Wellington with his Bachelor of Building Science. This industry requires a lot of forward thinking and experience.

Steven was born in Taiwan and moved to New Zealand when he was 12. The architecture of New Zealand and Taiwan inspired Steven and that is where his passion derived from. One of his favourite architecture quotes is “Less is More”. He is also very fond of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe work, an American-German architect. Miles established the new architectural style that incorporated both Classical and Gothic design. Steven is also inspired by the Japanese architectural design.

Steven has lived in Taiwan, this birth home. Japan, LA and Hong Kong. This allowed Steven to experience all kind of architecture and learn different techniques.

In Stevens’ down time he enjoys architecture, art, basketball, rugby, whisky, science and technology. He also loves spending time with his friends and family.
